چکیده
Diclofenac sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with relatively short release time. This time promotes more frequent consumption and could lead to side effects in the stomach, e.g., gastrointestinal disorders, bleeding, gastric ulcers. A delivery system slow-release activity one of promising technologies control amount released stomach. surfactant-modified natural zeolite as carrier for diclofenac has been used this study. study focused on preparation, characterization, performance HDTMA-modified sodium. The underwent chemical physical activation, well milling prior use. It was proven that dominated by mordenite clinoptilolite high stability properties towards acid treatments, indicated XRD patterns. modification surface using HDTMABr also successfully performed, appearance peaks at wavenumbers 2923.05 cm-1 2853.39 (symmetrical asymmetrical CH2 strains HDTMA molecules, respectively) FTIR spectra. synthesized showed an excellent property such area, pore-volume, size, BET-BJH isotherms nitrogen adsorption. zeolite-based studied investigating adsorption-desorption behavior adsorbed 54.01% pH 7.5, contact 60 min, initial concentration 100 ppm. 73.95% be from adsorbent 8 h, mimicking length metabolism human body.

Modified local diatomite as potential functional drug carrier--A model study for diclofenac sodium.
Diatomite makes a promising candidate for a drug carrier because of its high porosity, large surface area, modifiable surface chemistry and biocompatibility. Herein, refined diatomite from Kolubara coal basin, which complied with the pharmacopoeial requirements for heavy metals content and microbiological quality, was used as a starting material. Inorganic modification of the starting material ...
متن کاملSurface modified natural zeolite as a carrier for sustained diclofenac release: A preliminary feasibility study.
In view of zeolite potentiality as a carrier for sustained drug release, a clinoptilolite-rich rock from California (CLI_CA) was superficially modified with cetylpyridinium chloride and loaded with diclofenac sodium (DS). The obtained surface modified natural zeolites (SMNZ) were characterized by confocal scanning laser microscopy (CLSM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRPD) and laser light scatteri...
متن کاملSurfactant Modified Zeolites –adsorbents for Mycotoxins and Carriers of Drugs
The potential of surfactant modified zeolites as adsorbents for mycotoxins and as carrier of the pharmaceutical drugs was investigated. Ochratoxin A OCHRA (mycotoxin) and diclofenac sodium DS (anti-inflamatory drug) were used as model substances. Surface of the clinoptilolite was modified with different amounts of quaternary ammonium ions (hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium HDTMA or octadecyldimethylb...
متن کاملEnvironmental friendly carrier material for nifedipine as hypertension drug
Nifedipine is a hypertension drug must be consumed three times a day due to its low oral bioavailability. One way of developing a controlled drug delivery system is making nifedipine microcapsules by using environmentally friendly polymers of polylactic acid and polycaprolactone via the evaporation method using oil-in-water solvents. Polylactic acid and polycaprolactone can be said to be enviro...

In this study, tretinoin microemulsion has been formulated based on phase diagram studies by changing the amounts and proportions of inactive ingredients, such as surfactants, co-surfactants and oils. The effects of these variables have been determined on microemulsion formation, particle size of the dispersed phase and release profile of tretinoin from microemulsion through dialysis membrane. ...
